Nine Inducted Into USC-UCLA Dual Meet Hall Of Fame

USC hosted the annual Dual Meet luncheon today (April 28) at Heritage Hall to preview Saturday's track meet vs. UCLA and announce the inaugural class of nine into the Dual Meet Hall of Fame.
The Trojan and Bruin greats who were inducted into the Dual Meet Hall of Fame were: Willie Banks (UCLA, former world record holder in the triple jump and 3-time Olympian), Seilala Sua (UCLA, 7-time NCAA Champion and Olympian), James Sanford (USC, The fastest Trojan ever and NCAA scorer), Virginia Powell (USC, 4-time NCAA Champion and NCAA record-holder), Willie Deckard (USC, NCAA scorer in the sprints), Bob Seagren (USC, Olympic pole vault champion and former world record-holder), Natasha Danvers (USC, 2008 Olympic bronze medalist in the 400m IH), John Brenner (UCLA, NCAA shot put champion) and Wayne Collett (UCLA, Olympic hurdler and NCAA Champion).
Each of the decorated athletes had a chance to speak and reflect on the great times they had at the Dual Meet and what it meant to them then and now. Also, the current Trojan and Bruin athletes spoke about this year's team and the excitement they have in looking forward to Saturday's meet between the two nationally ranked teams.
This year's USC-UCLA Dual Meet will take place on May 2 at Loker Stadium, beginning at 11 a.m. The Dual Meet hammer competition will be staged on Friday, May 1 at Mt. SAC, starting at 2 p.m.
