TUCSON, Ariz. - Two University of Arizona men's golfers received all-Pac-10 honors, the league announced Friday.

Tarquin MacManus and Rich Saferian earned all-conference accolades. MacManus was a second-team selection, while Saferian was tabbed honorable mention.

MacManus, a sophomore from Cairns, Queensland, Australia, leads the Wildcats with a 72.65 scoring average and has been UA's top finisher in six of 11 appearances. He has four top-10 finishes to his credit and 13 of his 34 rounds played have been at par or better, including six rounds in the 60s with a low of 64. Earlier this season, MacManus finished as the runner-up at the John Burns Intercollegiate with a 10-under-par 206 total. He was a second team all-Pac-10 selection last season.

Saferian, a sophomore from Wixom, Mich., ranks second on the team with a 73.18 scoring average and 20 of his 22 rounds played (91 percent) have counted towards the team total. He has three top-20 finishes to his credit, including a third-place finish at the ASU Thunderbird Invitational with a two-under 211 total. Eight of his 22 rounds played have been at par or better, including four rounds in the 60s with a low of 66. It is the first time Saferian has been honored by the league.

It marks the 95th time that Arizona golfers have earned all-Pac-10 honors since joining the conference in 1978-79.
