Tucker Garners All-Conference Recognition

May 1, 2009

PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State men's golf junior Kevin Tucker has been named All-Pacific-10 Conference honorable mention, the league announced today.

A junior from Kennewick, Wash., Tucker posted the first tournament victory of his collegiate career at the Desert Intercollegiate in Palm Desert, Calif., Oct 5. The win earned him Pac-10 Player of the Month honors for October.

Tucker finished the 2008-09 season with three top 10 finishes and six top 25 finishes including a third place finish at the Argonaut Invitational and a fifth place finish at the Falcon Invitational.

'Kevin has gotten better ever since he set foot on campus and is very deserving of this honor after having a great year,' said WSU Head Coach Walt Williams.

Tucker is the first player in three years to receive all-conference recognition for the Cougars.
