Cal Baseball Falls at Arizona, 12-8

TUCSON, ARIZ. - The California baseball team lost the third game of the three-game series at Arizona, 12-8, Sunday in Tucson. The Golden Bears dropped to 19-26 overall and 6-15 in the Pac-10 with three straight loses (13-4, 8-4, 12-8) to the Wildcats. Arizona improved to 22-21 and 8-13 in league play. Sophomore shortstop Brian Guinn was 2-for-5 with a triple and three RBI, and junior designated hitter Blake Smith went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in the sixth inning and two RBI. Junior center fielder Brett Jackson and sophomore right fielder Mark Canha also had two hits apiece for Cal.
