FULLERTON, Calif. -- After two innings of play, Cal State Fullerton leads Arizona, 2-1, at Goodwin Field.

The Wildcats scratched a run on the board in the first inning, but missed out on an golden opportunity to put a big number on the board. Bryce Ortega singled and Dillon Baird doubled to open the inning. After Jett Bandy was hit by a pitch, Brad Glenn delivered an RBI single to left field to stake UA to a 1-0 lead.

But, Steve Selsky, Bobby Coyle and Dwight Childs struck out in order to end the inning and strand a trio of Wildcats on the bases.

The Titans evened the game up with a leadoff home run by Christian Colon.

In the second inning, Dustin Garneu reached on a one-out bunt single, then advanced to third following two balks by UA starter Joe Allison. Joe Scott singled home Gorneu from third to put CSF ahead, 2-1.

The Titans put Scott in motion on the next pitch, which pulled UA shortstop towards second base on a hit-and-run play. Scott reached third on a single to left by Joey Siddons.

Allison was able to retire Colon on a foul out and escaped further damage with a groundout to end the inning.
