Cal Baseball Wins, 3-2, at UCLA

LOS ANGELES, CALIF. - Junior designated hitter Blake Smith and freshman catcher Chadd Krist knocked in runs in the top of the ninth inning and freshman right-hander Dixon Anderson forced a game-ending double play in the bottom of the ninth as Cal baseball upended UCLA, 3-2, Friday night at Jackie Robinson Stadium. The Golden Bears, who won their first Pac-10 road game of the season, improved to 21-26 overall and 7-15 in the conference. The Bruins, who sit in second place in the league, dropped to 23-23 overall and 13-9 in conference.
