Kiilsgaard's Two-Out, Two-Strike, Two-Run Single in the Ninth Gives Stanford a 14-13 Win
STANFORD, Calif. - Kellen Kiilsgaard's dramatic two-run single on a 2-2 pitch with the bases loaded and two outs in the ninth inning gave host Stanford (27-21) a 14-13 victory over Pacific (18-29) in a non-conference game at Klein Field at Sunken Diamond. LOS ANGELES - Freshman first baseman Ricky Oropesa (Rancho Cucamonga/Etiwanda HS) recorded his first career five-hit game, going 5-for-5 with a double and three RBI Wednesday as the USC Trojans beat the Loyola Marymount Lions, 11-2, in a non conference game at Dedeaux Field. Junior shortstop Grant Green went 4-for-5 with a double and one RBI while junior designated hitter Robert Stock hit two home runs in a game for the first time in his career, both solo shots.
