TEMPE, Ariz. - Powered by Hillary Bach's tenth complete game shutout on the season and Krista Donnenwirth's 2-for-3 performance the 10th-seeded Arizona State Softball team opened the 2009 postseason with a 5-0 win over San Diego State in Game Two of the Tempe Regional Friday night. No. 14/16 Cal Advances To NCAA Regional Final With 2-0 Victory Over Oklahoma State
TALLAHASSE, FLA. - No. 14/16 California (37-18) advanced to the NCAA Softball Tallahassee Regional final with a 2-0 victory over Oklahoma State in a winners bracket game Saturday at JoAnne Graff Field on the campus of Florida State University. The same two teams will meet again in Sunday's final (10 a.m., PT) after the Cowgirls knocked off host and top-seeded Florida State, 1-0 in 12 innings, to earn a spot opposite the Golden Bears in the championship game.
