Jorge Reyes went five full innings, scattering six hits and five runs in his 12th start of the season.
Final Home Game
Oregon State will be playing in its 22nd and final home game in the regular season. The Beavers are 16-5 in games at Goss Stadium and are batting .283 while the pitching staff has a 3.00 ERA. Ryan Ortiz is hitting .395 with 10 doubles and two home runs at home.
Oregon State will be playing Oregon for the fifth time this season. The Beavers have a .241 batting average in the four previous games against the Ducks, with John Wallace posting a .357 clip, double, home run and nine RBI. Pitching-wise, OSU has limited UO to a .167 batting average while posting a 1.49 ERA.
Notes Of Importance
Oregon State is 10-0 in mid-week contests this season. Those games are played Monday through Thursday. OSU is 4-0 in Tuesday games.
The Beavers have also won their past 10 non-conference games and 14 straight at Goss Stadium dating back to the 2008 season.
Head coach Pat Casey will be going for his 500th victory at Oregon State, which would make him the third Beavers' coach to accomplish the feat.
With 2,959 at Sunday's game, the Beavers have had 11 crowds of 2,500 or better at home games this season.
OSU has averaged 2,201 fans per home game this season, totaling 46,241 through 21 contests. If the Beavers keep that total after Tuesday's game, it will mark the best season average in school history, eclipsing the 2007 season, which saw an average of 2,005 at OSU home games.
