May 18, 2009

SEATTLE - The No. 3 Washington softball team, fresh off a thrilling 15-inning Regional victory over Massachusetts, will have five days to rest before hitting the field again in this weekend's NCAA Super Regionals against Georgia Tech on Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24 in Atlanta, Ga.

The best-of-three series starts Saturday with one game at Noon, ET, while the second game of the series will take place at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday. Should a third game be necessary, it will also take place Sunday at 3:30 p.m. ET.

All three games between the No. 3 Huskies (44-11) and No. 14 Yellow Jackets (46-13) will air live on ESPN and via simulcast. Georgia Tech earned a berth in the NCAA Tournament as winners of the ACC and advanced to their first-ever NCAA Super Regional by defeating Boston University in Sunday's Regional final.

All Super Regional games will also air live on KKNW-1150 AM with Mike Brown and John Cowley doing the commentary.

Tickets are now on sale for the games at Mewborn Field where a trip to the Women's College World Series will be on the line. Admission each day is $10 for reserved chair-back seating, $7 for general admission bench seating and $5 for students.
