Pac-10 Names 25 to Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-Region Teams

STARKVILLE, Miss.-- The National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced the Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division I All-Regional teams. With it's eight member schools encompassing both the Pacific and West regions, the Pac-10 had 25 athletes earn first-team honors.

UCLA led the way in the West Region, placing five players on the first team. Arizona, Arizona State and Stanford each placed four on the team.

In the Pacific Region, Washington earned four honors, followed by California with three and Oregon with one.

The all-region teams were chosen by NFCA member coaches from each region, and all the honorees will now be eligible for selections to the Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-America first, second or third teams. The NFCA Division I All-American teams will be announced on Wednesday, May 27.
