Arredondo Reports from National Team Camp
June 10, 2009
Hey Wildcat Fans!
Well, today was day two of the tryout. Everyone is pretty sore today, which is funny to us because we all thought we were in good shape. But to me, this soreness is like I haven't worked out in forever!
We had to be at the field at 7:30 a.m. to go through a nice 30 minute warm up so we could all get loose and ready for the game! Then we had a game at 9 a.m. in which my red team faced Kenzie Fowler, who will be our new pitcher next season. All you fans better get ready for a fun 2010 season because Kenzie has some good stuff coming Arizona's way!
We had about an hour and half lunch break and I went back to my room and took a little 30 minute power nap to get ready for the second half of our day. When we came back from lunch we had to do whatever we could to get ready for two games on the day.
My team faced Nikki Nemitz from Michigan in the first game and Angela Tincher in the second game. Both are incredible pitchers here at the camp. We got done today around 5:00 p.m., but even though are days are long the team is making it really fun! We have a lot of energized people and it just gets everyone pumped up and ready for what is coming our way the whole day.
I have really enjoyed meeting a lot of new players and getting a chance to play with them so far. It has been a lot of fun, and it's a new experience that is definitely going to stay with me forever, and I will carry it on to next year and get our Arizona team fired up for some ball!
But for now, I am off to bed. I need to get some rest for the long day and get ready for our three games tomorrow!
I will report back soon! Bear Down!
