Men Send Swimmers Around the Globe

STANFORD-- Stanford Swimming will be well represented throughout the world over the next month and a half, with nearly 30 athletes slated to compete at the American (July 7-11) and Canadian (July 8-11) World Championship Trials in North America, the World University Games in Serbia (July 5) and the Maccabiah Games in Israel (July 12). In addition, the World Championships in Rome, begin July 18.

Indianapolis should have upwards of 16 Stanford athletes competing , including seven swimmers who made NCAA's last season. All-American Austin Staab will headline The Farm at the Trials, while fellow All-Americans David Mosko, and Curtis Lovelace, along with Rob Andrews, Trevor Sceid, Jake Allen, Josh Charnin-Aker, Morgan Priestley and Patrick Simpkins will further bolster the lineup.

In Montreal two Stanford Canadians will compete, led by graduated senior and All-American Paul Kornfeld and fellow All-American Michael Zoldos, a freshman from last year's team.

The World University Games, starting in Belgrade, Serbia on July 5 will feature nine Stanford swimmers. All-American Jason Dunford, will be joined by fellow top collegian, Eugene Godsoe. In addition, All-American diver Dwight Dumais will compete on July 5 and 7.

Sophomore Scotty Korotkin is slated to swim in the the 18th Maccabiah Games in Israel, a competition featuring over 90 countries.

Three Stanford athletes are already headed to Rome in freshman Geoff Cheah and Olympians David and Jason Dunford.
