Huskies Wrap Up At Nationwide Tour Stop

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Former Husky golf standout Alex Prugh tied for 17th at the Nationwide Children's Hospital Invitational, while UW senior-to-be Nick Taylor finished tied for 34th.

Prugh entered Sunday's final round at The Ohio State Scarlet Course in 38th place. He saved his best round for last, shooting a 3-under 68 ending his tournament 3-under overall at 281 (72-70-71-68). Prugh is now sixth on the Nationwide Tour money list this season with $204,325 earned in 15 events.

Taylor struggled in the fourth round and carded a 4-over 75. He entered Sunday's action tied for 12th, but finished even overall at 284 (69-71-69-75) and dropped to 34th place.

Taylor has had a very eventful summer, finishing as the top amateur at the U.S. Open in 36th place. He followed that by winning the Sahalee Players Championship and finishing as runner up at the U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship. He missed the cut at last weekend's PGA Canadian Open before taking on the pros once again this week.

Derek Ramley beat amateur Rickie Fowler in a two-hole playoff. Each finished regulation at 11-under 273.
