Stanford to Dive Into Tallahassee for Championships

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.-- Stanford divers Dwight Dumais and Taylor Sishc will each compete at the AT&T U.S.A. Senior Diving Nationals this week, beginning on Wednesday on the campus of Florida State University.

Dumais will compete in the 1 and 3-meter springboards on Wednesday and Thursday, while Sishc will compete in the 1-meter springboard on Thursday and the platform competition on Friday. Overall, approximately 125 of the nation's best divers are slated to compete for 10 titles.

Dumais (Ventura, Calif.), a senior last year, finished second in the Finals of the 1-meter springboard with a score of 380.00 and second in the 3-meter springboard with a mark of 421.30 at the U.S. Diving Spring National earlier this year. He previously won the 1 and 3-meter springboards at the U.S. Preliminaries.

The 23-year old was eighth in this year's Finals of the NCAA Championship with a score of 339.70 in the 1-meter and was seventh overall in the 3-meter championship, both marks earning All-America status. He was a Pac-10 Champion in the 1-meter earlier this year and won the NCAA Zone E Championship as well.

Sishc (Loveland, Colo.) finished 13th in the Semifinal of the 1-meter springboard and 24th in the 3-meter springboard at the U.S. Diving Spring National. He was 15th in the Finals of the NCAA Zone E Championship 1-meter and 12th in the 3-meter event earlier this year. He is a previous Junior Region-6 Champion in the 1 and 3-meter events. He was a freshman last season at Stanford.
