Picture Day On Tap Sunday At Husky Stadium

Aug. 14, 2009

SEATTLE - Join the Washington football team Sunday at the annual Picture Day at Husky Stadium. The entire Husky football team, as well as Coach Steve Sarkisian, will be on hand to meet the fans, along with a number of other activities.

It's one of the great free events on the Seattle-area sports calendar each year.

Gates open at 9:30 a.m. and Picture Day starts at 10:00 a.m. As always, admission and parking are free as are coffee, doughnuts from Top Pot Doughnuts and soft drinks from Coca-Cola. Also, there will be free kids' face painting from John Robert Powers and both the Dubs Club (for kids) and the Women's Basketball Fast Break board will have information available.

In addition to the Husky football team, fans can meet and mingle with the UW women's soccer and volleyball teams. The Husky Marching Band and cheerleaders will be there to perform, as will Harry the Husky.

Also, during the course of Picture Day, the Husky Ticket Office will be holding a 'Select-A-Seat' event where fans who have yet to purchase tickets for the upcoming season can experience the best available seats in Husky Stadium first-hand.

Join us Sunday for the unofficial kickoff of the 2009 Husky football season.

NOTE: Check this space for an update of Friday afternoon's practice early this evening.
