Cardinal Conclude First Scrimmage of Training Camp

STANFORD, Calif.-- Redshirt freshman Andrew Luck went 6-for-10 for 80 yards and Jeremy Stewart ran for 49 yards on seven carries to highlight the 36-play scrimmage at Stanford Stadium, the team's first scrimmage of the preseason.

In the 35-minute affair, sophomore Chris Owusu caught a 13-yard touchdown pass from Luck as part of a 46-yard receiving day. Stewart provided another offensive highlight with a 19-yard run, and freshman running back Tyler Gaffney ran for 21 yards on three carries, including a 17-yard sprint.

Tavita Pritchard, who has 19 career starts, threw for 25 yards on 6-of-11 passing.

The Cardinal opens the season with two road games, at Washington State on September 5 and at Wake Forest on September 12, before opening up their seven-game home schedule on September 19 against San Jose State.
