The Pac-10 has raced out to a 52-10 (.839) record against non-league competition through the first two weeks of the season. The Conference posted a 26-4 (.867) mark last week, with 24 of the 26 victories coming via the three-set sweep... League teams will engage in several matches against Top 10 teams as No. 3 WASHINGTON faces No. 9 Minnesota and No. 4 Florida, while No. 8 UCLA travels to No. 5 Nebraska, and No. 10 STANFORD travels to No. 6 Hawai'i... Seven Pac-10 teams are ranked among the AVCA Top 25 - No. 3 WASHINGTON, No. 8 UCLA, No. 10 STANFORD, No. 12 OREGON, No. 13 CALIFORNIA, No. 15 USC, and No. 25 ARIZONA. Also receiving votes was WASHINGTON STATE (No. 43). The league sported seven teams in the Top 25 four times last season, and it's the 47th time in poll history (since 1982) that seven Pac-10 teams have appeared in the Top 25... • More Tournament Honors... The Pac-10 added six more MVP honorees to the list of outstanding performers during the early season tournaments, giving the Pac-10 nine tournament MVP selections this season. Collecting MVP honors in various tournaments last week were ARIZONA JR S Paige Webber (9.70 aps, 1.70 dps), ARIZONA STATE SO OH Sofie Schlagintweit (4.10 dps, hit .415, 1.00 dps, 4.70 pps), OREGON STATE junior OH Jill Sawatzky (3.43 kps, 2.43 dps, 0.71 bps, 3.89 pps), UCLA SO MB Amanda Gil (2.89 kps, hit .412, 1.22 dps, 1.89 bps, 4.28 pps), USC SO S Kendall Bateman (11.33 aps, led team to .326 hitting percentage), WASHINGTON STATE SR S Renee Bordelon (12.75 aps, led team to .311 hitting percentage).


• Numbers Game... Looking to collect their 1,500th kill this week are CALIFORNIA SR OH Hana Cutura (1,495 kills) and OREGON STATE SR OH Rachel Rourke (1,491 kills). They will become the 38th and 39th players in Pac-10 history to reach 1,500 kills. Each have a reasonable chance at their respective school's career kills mark by season's end - California's all-time mark is 1,814 (Tiffany Rochelle, 1986-89), while Oregon State's is 1,763 (Shelly Smith, 1991-94)... Cutura posted a career-high 30 kills in Cal's five-set win at No. 4 Hawai'i last week.


• Block Party... OREGON STATE posted 12 or more team blocks in each of its four matches last week, averaging an impressive 3.71 blocks per set. As a team, the Beavers were ninth in the Pac-10 last season, averaging 2.18 bps.


• Coaching Milestone... Arizona's next win will be coach Dave Rubio's 450th career victory.
