CORVALLIS, Ore. - The Oregon State women's soccer team looks for its fourth straight victory as the Beavers return to action this week when they travel to Eugene, Ore., to face Seattle in the Oregon Nike Invitational on Friday, Sept. 11, at 4:30 p.m.
Sophomore Colleen Boyd has seen the most action in the net for the Beavers as the goaltender carries a 1.00 goals against average heading into the tournament.
Seattle enters the weekend with a mark of 4-2-0 on the season after falling to Cal Poly, 2-1, last week. Kara Kuttler leads the Seattle attack with three goals and eight points on the season while Madison Goverde leads the way on the defensive side of the ball with a 0.67 goals against average.
The meeting marks the fifth in series history between the two schools as Oregon State and Seattle have split the previous four meetings. The meeting is the first since Oct. 2, 1993, when the Beavers captured a 3-0 win in Seattle.
Following the match, Oregon State will conclude action at the tournament when the Beavers face Loyola Marymount at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 13.
