THIS WEEK: The Washington State soccer team treks to Texas for road matches against Texas and Stephen F. Austin...Cougars play Texas in Austin at 5:30 p.m. Pacific, Friday, Sept. 18 and take on Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches at 9 a.m., Sunday, Sept. 20.

COUGARS REGIONALLY RANKED: Washington State is tied for No. 5 with Washington in the current National Soccer Coaches Association of America Pacific Region rankings...Cougars are receiving votes in the NSCAA national poll as well as the Soccer Times national poll.

NOT THE FIRST RODEO: This is the third time in history WSU has taken a road trip to Texas...Cougars opened the 1993 campaign with a 3-2 overtime win over Arkansas in Plano, won 1-0 at No. 13 SMU, and defeated Texas A&M 2-0 in 2003, WSU lost 2-0 at No. 16 Texas and 2-0 at No.3 Texas A&M.

ABOUT TEXAS: The Longhorns are 3-3-0, including 3-1-0 at home...Courtney Goodson and Kylie Doniak share the team lead with two goals and Niki Arlitt is tops on the squad with three assists and five points...eight Longhorns have scored at least one goal and 11 have registered at least one point this season.

SERIES WITH THE LONGHORNS: Texas has won both meetings...Longhorns won 2-0 at home in 2003 and posted a 1-0 victory in Portland, Ore., during the first round of the NCAA Championship last season.

ABOUT STEPHEN F. AUSTIN: The Ladyjacks are 2-4-0, including 0-1-0 at Houston, Friday night...Kim Kimmel leads the team with three goals and shares a team-best six points with Kylie Louw...latter has four assists to pace the Ladyjacks.

SERIES WITH THE LADYJACKS: Washington State and Stephen F. Austin have never met in women's soccer.

FOR THE RECORD: Seniors Kiersten Dallstream and Carly Dobratz continue to move up the Cougar career records lists...Dallstream ranks third in goals (24), tied for third in multiple goal matches (five), tied for fourth in game-winning goals (six) and fifth in points (57)...Dobratz is third in game-winning goals (seven), tied for sixth in assists (13), eighth in points (41) and tied for eighth in goals (13).
