Men's Golf Returns To Action At PING/Golfweek Preview

The No. 9 USC men's golf team returns to the links for its second event of the fall, playing at the 2009 PING/Golfweek Invitational at Gold Mountain Golf Club in Bremerton, Wash., Saturday and Sunday (Sept. 27-28).

Among the team's competing this week in addition to USC and host Washington are Alabama, North Carolina State, Chattanooga, LSU, Kent State, Indiana, Texas A&M, Oklahoma State, TCU, Colorado State, Arizona State, UNLV and New Mexico.

Action tees off 8 a.m. both days with two rounds on Sunday and one on Monday.

The USC fivesome competing this week include two-time All-American junior Matt Giles, junior Bo DeHuff, sophomore Steve Lim and freshmen T.J. Vogel and Martin Trainer.

In the Trojans' season-opening event, USC tied for eighth at the 2009 Olympia Fields/Fighting Illini Invitational. Giles tied for 10th while Trainer tied for 19th.
