No. 24 Huskies Arrive In Bay Area For Stanford Game

Sept. 25, 2009

PALO ALTO, Calif. - The 24th-ranked Washington football team arrived in the Bay Area ahead of Saturday's game vs. Stanford today, without incident and on schedule.

The team buses left Bank of America Arena for SeaTac Airport at 1:15 p.m. and, shortly after boarding, the flight left for San Jose.

Upon arrival, the Huskies bused directly to Stanford Stadium for a brief walk-through. Of course, seeing as Saturday's game is the Huskies' first road contest of the year, the Huskies have yet to play, or even practice, on natural grass.

After about a half-hour on the Stanford Stadium field, the Dawgs reloaded their buses for dinner in Palo Alto. During the dinner, Coach Steve Sarkisian took a few moments to do a live interview with ESPN as part of the network's broadcast of the Missouri-Nevada game Friday night.

After dinner, the team checked into its hotel and, after a brief break, got started with Friday night meetings.

Kickoff Saturday night at Stanford Stadium is set for 6:10 p.m.
