SAN LUIS OBISPO, CALIF—The Arizona soccer squad lost to Cal Poly 3-0 Sunday in San Luis Obispo, Calif.

The Wildcats, now 3-6-1, outshot the Mustangs, now 6-4-0, nine shots to six, but redshirt senior Devon Wharf only saved two of the five on-goal shots.

“We were definitely outplayed today.” Said head coach Dan Tobias, “Cal Poly played really well. We had our chances to equalize and come back throughout the game, but we just couldn’t get it done. This was definitely not how we wanted to finish off our road trip. Now we just have to look forward to a good week of practice before our last non-conference game on October 2.”

Next week, the Cats return home for their last non-conference match against Loyola  Marymount on Friday, October 2 at 7pm at Murphey Field at Mulcahy Stadium.
