WSU Women's Golf Travel to Sammamish, Wash.

What's Happening This Week: The Washington State women's golf team will travel cross-state to Sammamish, Wash. to play in the Edean Ihlanfeldt invitational hosted by U. of Washington on Monday Oct. 5-7. The 13 team field will be playing 18 holes each day.

The Course: Sahalee Country Club, the par-72 will play at 6136 yards for the event.

The Field: The 13 team field will includes BYU, California, Long Beach State, Idaho, New Mexico State, Oregon, Oregon State, Pepperdine, San Francisco, San Jose State, Stanford and Washington.

Traveling for WSU: The squad for this week will include junior Allison Travis, sophomore Kristen Allard and freshmen Ali Thompson, Emma Betland and Ellen Park.

Last Time Out: The team finished second last week in the Giustina Memorial Classic, hosted by Oregon State, after a late surge in the final round moving the Cougars up two spots from fourth place. The team carded a total 921 (+57) led by freshman Ali Thompson who finished fifth with a 3-round total of 226 (+10). Fellow freshman Emma Betland also cracked the top-10 with a tournament total of 227 (+11) in a tie for sixth place only one stroke back from Thompson. Kristen Allard was the low round in day three with a 71 (-1) and a 3-round total of 230 (+14) tying for 11th.
