LOS ANGLES - The Arizona State women's soccer team pushed the third-ranked UCLA Bruins to the limit on their home field on Sunday before falling 3-2 in double overtime.

After Alexandra Elston put the Sun Devils up 1-0 in the first half, the Bruins responded with goals in the 55th minute and the 68th minute to take a 2-1 lead. Freshman Kiara Williams would tie the game at 2-2 in the 80th minute, which would eventually force the game into overtime.

Both teams had chances in the first overtime, however neither team could get the go-ahead score. In the second overtime the Bruins would win the game when junior midfielder Lauren Barnes connected on a shot into the far left post after the Sun Devils were unable to clear a ball out of the UCLA zone.

Freshman goalkeeper Alyssa Gillmore tied the ASU single-season record for saves with 14.
