PALO ALTO, Calif. - The Arizona women's golf team shot even par to claim 4th place after round one of the Stanford Intercollegiate Event, Friday afternoon at the Stanford Golf Course.

Junior Alejandra Llaneza and sophomore Isabelle Boineau each carded 1-under rounds of 70 to counter 1-over par totals turned in by sophomore Margarita Ramos and freshman Sherlyn Popelka. The 284 total has the Wildcats one shot ahead of Washington and three shots clear of San Jose State.

Senior Brittany Benvenuto rounded out the five-person squad by shooting 76 on the day. Nikki Koller also competed as an individual player and matched her team's total by shooting even par.

Arizona State holds the team lead at 11-under par while UCLA (7-under) and Texas (5-under) round out the top three. Madison Pressel of Texas holds a one-shot lead on the individual ledger after shooting 6-under on the day. Llaneza and Boineau are tied for 11th at 1-under.

The Wildcats will tee off from the first hole on Saturday morning with Benvenuto leading the group at 9:15 a.m.
