Alyssa Davila Named To National Teams of the Week

USC midfielder Alyssa Dávila came up big for the Trojans in an important road win over the weekend, and her efforts have netted the junior a spot on two national teams of the week. Soccer America and have both selected Dávilafor national honors this week.

Facing its fifth ranked team in the past six games, USC went into overtime for the first time this season when the Trojans paid a visit to No. 17 California over the weekend. Dávila had scored USC's second goal during regulation, and then she struck the golden goal in overtime to net the Trojans a 3-2 win over their ranked hosts.

The two-goal day was Dávila's second this season, bringing her to a team-high eight goals on the year. The game-winner was her third of the season and moves her to No. 4 all-time at USC with 10 career game-winning goals. This is Dávila's second selection as a Primetime Performer.

USC improved to 11-4 overall and 3-1 in Pac-10 play after a road split over the weekend, and now turns to host the Oregon schools this weekend at McAlister Field.
