Men's Soccer Gears Up for Final Homestand

Corvallis, Ore. - The Oregon State men's soccer team hosts No. 18 Stanford and California for the final two regular season games at Paul Lorenz field of the season.
Stanford comes into town Friday, Oct. 30 for a 5pm for its second meeting of the season with the Beavers. Stanford won the first meeting in a 1-0 shutout, only the third given up by the Beavers all season.
The Cardinal (9-4-1 overall, 3-3-1 Pac-10) are led by senior goalkeeper John Moore who has played an integral part in holding its opponents to two goals or less in 32 straight matches. Bobby Warsaw comes into the weekend as the team's leading scorer with six goals on the season.
California (8-7-0, 2-5-0) comes to town Sunday, Nov. 1 for a 2pm showdown with the Beavers. California won the only meeting of the season, a 4-1 match in Berkeley, Calif. The Golden Bears are led by the leading goal scorer in the conference, Andrew Wiedeman, who has 10 goals on the season.
Oregon State (6-5-2, 2-3-0) is led by sophomore Danny Mwanga who is the second leading goal scorer (9) in the conference. Sophomore forward Travis Sanchez recorded his first goal of his career in the loss to California earlier in the season.
The Sunday match against California will be senior day for the Beavers as they recognize three seniors in Jordan Harris, Mike Miller, and Justin Woodward who are making their final appearance at Paul Lorenz Field.
Note: The date time of the final game of the season against Washington has been changed Saturday Nov. 14 at 5pm.
