UCLA Men's Basketball Selected Third in Pac-10 Preseason Poll

LOS ANGELES - UCLA was selected to finish third among the league's 10 schools in the 2009-10 Pac-10 Conference Men's Basketball Preseason Media Poll, as announced Thursday at the conference's annual media day.

California owned the top spot in the preseason poll and secured 25 of 37 first-place votes. Washington was picked to finish second, receiving seven first-place votes. UCLA received the remaining five first-place votes in the preseason poll.

Arizona was selected to finish fourth, followed by Oregon State and Oregon. Arizona State was predicted to finish seventh, and Washington State, USC and Stanford rounded out the 10 teams in the preseason poll.

UCLA was represented at the event by head coach Ben Howland and senior guard Michael Roll.

The Bruins host Concordia University (Irvine, Calif.) in an exhibition game Wednesday, Nov. 4. Game time in UCLA's Pauley Pavilion is 7:30 p.m.
