Cal Ties Washington, 1-1, in OT

SEATTLE - California tied Washington, 1-1, in overtime on Friday night at Husky Soccer Field to earn one point in the Pac-10 Conference standings. Junior forward Andrew Wiedeman had knotted the score at 1-1 in the 35th minute with a 20-yard blast into the upper part of the net. Wiedeman had the game's last scoring chance, with a swerving shot from outside the Huskies' penalty area that went just high of the crossbar. The Golden Bears' record now stands at 8-7-1 (2-5-1 Pac-10, 7 points) after snapping their four-game losing streak. The Huskies' record moves to 4-5-5 (1-1-4, 7 points).
