Women's Swimming Host Alumni Relays

Corvallis, Ore. - The Oregon State women's swim team hosted its annual Alumni Relays Saturday and took time to honor its eight All-Americans.

'It was really nice to have all the All-Americans back,' Oregon State women's swim head coach Larry Liebowitz said following the meet. 'We all had a lot of fun with the relays.'

Seven of the eight women's All-Americans were present and on men's swimming All-American was in attendance.

The alumni and current swimmers were split in to orange and black mixed teams and competed in multiple individual and relay events.

The All-Americans include current swimmers Anna Crandall and Brittney Iverson along with former swimmers Saori Haruguchi, Kayla Rawlings, Naya Higashijima, Mari Embertson and Birte Steven was present. Amy van Loben Sels was the only All-American that could not make it to the event.

The black team fell to the orange team 257-255.

The Beavers next jump into the pool Nov. 19-21 when they travel to Long Beach, Calif. for the Nike Cup.
