UA tennis to compete in Southwest Collegiate Invite

Arizona women's tennis heads to Albquerque, New Mexico this weekend to compete in the Southwest Collegiate Invite, hosted by the University of New Mexico. Arizona will be participating in the tournament along with New Mexico, Western New Mexico, Northern Arizona, UTEP, and Oregon.

Senior Ariane Masschelein, sophomore Sarah Landsman, and freshman Elizabeth Hammond will be competing in this weekend's events, which kick off on Friday, November 6 and wrap November 8.

For singles, Hammond, who made her Wildcat debut at the ITA Regionals, will kick off play Friday at 10:30 against Northern Arizona's Yumi Hasegawa. Landsman will start off at 10:30 as well, against New Mexico's Laura Richardson, and Masschelein will go up against Trudie du Toit of Oregon, also at 10:30.

The Wildcats will participate in one more event this fall, at the Cal State Northridge Invitational, which starts November 13.
