Godsoe and La Tourette Highlight Cal Tri-Distance

Both swimmers' combined times were the tops in their fields, as three events in six disciplines were combined to create six winners.
Godsoe won the 50 back with a time of 22.58, then won the 100 back with a 48.26, before closing the meet out with a win on the 200 back with a mark of 1:47.00. Godsoe's combined time was 2:57.84.
La Tourette won the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:29.48 while also winning the 1000, posting a best of 9:09.14. La Tourette's combined time was 15:21.78, nearly 13 seconds ahead of teammate Trevor Scheid (15:34.32).
Austin Staab was also an individual winner, winning the 50 butterfly with a 22.30, but finishing second in the overall tri-distance of the butterfly, to Cal's Tom Sheilds, whose times added up to 3:00.68. Staab was three second slower at 3:03.48.
David Mosko was the only other individual winner, winning the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:49.77. Mosko's overall time was a second behind Staab at 3:04.45.
The tri-distance meet combined totals between: sprinters (50, 100, 200 free), distance swimmers (200, 500, 1000 free), butterflyers (50, 100, 200 butterfly), breaststrokers (50, 100, 200 breaststroke), backstrokers (50, 100, 200 backstroke) and individual medlyists (100, 200, 400 IM). Godsoe won the butterflyers and La Tourette won the distance swimmers
