Swimming & Diving Head To Arizona For Pac-10 Dual Meet Action`

The UCLA swimming and diving team will compete together for the first time this season as they head to Arizona for two Pac-10 dual meets against Arizona State and Arizona. The Bruins (2-0, 1-0 Pac-10) face ASU on Friday at 12:00 pm (PST) and Arizona on Saturday at 11:00 am (PST).

The Sun Devils are 3-1 (1-0 Pac-10) on the season with wins over Washington State, UNLV and Utah, while their one loss came to BYU. UCLA leads the all-time series 18-8-1.

Arizona holds a 2-0 record this season with wins over Wisconsin and UNLV, and are 11-17 all-time against UCLA.

The Bruins will be looking to pick up NCAA qualifying marks this weekend as only Brittany Beauchan has achieved an NCAA mark (100/200 breast) in the swimming events. Junior diver Karina Silva has two NCAA Zone E qualifiers (3M/tower) and will be looking for her final qualifier on 1M in Arizona.

This weekened's meets will be the last dual meet competition for the Bruins until January.
