Men's Hoops Looks to Rebound against South Dakota

LUBBOCK, Texas – The Oregon State men’s basketball team returns to action on Saturday as the Beavers face South Dakota at approximately 6:30 p.m. in day two of the “Duel in the Desert.” Live audio for the contest is available through Beaver Nation Online by clicking here.
Oregon State enters with a mark of 0-1 on the season after the Beavers dropped a 67-43 decision at the hands of Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Friday. Seth Tarver led the Beavers with 12 points and five steals as Oregon State could not get anything going against offensively against the Islanders.
It was tough going for South Dakota in the opener as well as the Coyotes fell to Texas Tech, 88-49, on Friday. Senior forward Tyler Cain posted 11 points and grabbed nine rebounds in the loss as Texas Tech used a 20-0 run to open the second half to put the game away.
Texas Tech faces Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in the first game of the day at 4:00 p.m., with the Oregon State-South Dakota contest to follow approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one.
Following the game against the Coyotes, Oregon State will conclude play at the “Duel in the Desert” when the Beavers face the host, Texas Tech, on Sunday, Nov. 15, at 1:00 p.m.
