Stanford, Calif. – Senior Rachel Rourke (Queensland, Australia) posted a match-high 17 kills, but the Oregon State volleyball team fell in three to No. 7 Stanford (18-25, 18-25, 19-25) on Saturday evening in Maples Pavilion.

“Our passing fell apart tonight,” head coach Taras Liskeyvch said. “Again, we need consistency effort from our hitters other than Rachel [Rourke]. But I thought we had a great comeback in set two, and we’re just going to have to get ready for the next two matches at home.”

Defensively, sophomore Betsy Devich (Kirkland, Wash.) dug a match-high 16 balls, while senior Lexie Rathgeber (White Rock, British Columbia) had four blocks.

Stanford’s Alix Klineman killed 13 balls, while libero Gabi Ailes had 15 digs.

Oregon State is now 12-14, 3-11 Pac-10, while Stanford improves to 18-7, 11-4 Pac-10.

Oregon State returns home for its final homestand of the season to host No. 6 UCLA on Friday before No. 17 USC on Saturday for Senior Night. Both matches are at 7:00 p.m. in legendary Gill Coliseum.
