LOS ANGELES - The UCLA softball team completed its Fall schedule with games against Biola and College of the Canyons. The Bruin pitching staff combined to give up only one hit and struck out 19 in 12 innings.

Against Biola on Wednesday, Destiny Rodino tossed the first three innings, giving up no hits and two walks with one strikeout. Megan Langenfeld threw the last two hitless frames, striking out six.

After two scoreless innings, the Bruins came up with three runs on one swing of the bat in the third. With Langenfeld and Kaila Shull aboard, Dani Yudin launched a three-run homer to make it 3-0. UCLA tacked on another run in the fourth. B.B. Bates led off with a single, advanced to second on a groundout and scored on a single by Andrea Harrison.

On Friday against College of the Canyons, Donna Kerr earned the start and struck out seven in three innings of hitless ball. Rodino pitched the fourth and fifth, giving up a hit and a walk with two strikeouts. Langenfeld finished up the game with a pair of 1-2-3 innings, fanning three.

Just like against Biola, the Bruins failed to score in the first two innings, but scored seven runs in the last four frames. In the third, Langenfeld led off with a single, and one batter later, an RBI single by Yudin made it 1-0. The Bruins added two more in the fourth. Monica Harrison had a one-out single and came home on a two-run bomb by Andrea Harrison.

In the fifth, UCLA made it 6-0. Shull walked, stole second and came home on an RBI double by Marti Reed. After Bates reached on a double with Reed moving to third, Andrea Harrison singled both runners home for UCLA's fifth and sixth runs. The Bruins concluded the scoring with a run in the sixth on an RBI single by Shull.
