Climbing the Polls -- Football at No. 16

Buoyed by four consecutive victories and six in the last seven games, the Oregon State football team has moved to No. 16 in this week’s Associated Press Poll and No. 18 in the USA Today/Coaches Poll.  It’s the highest AP ranking for the Beavers since appearing No. 10 at the start of the 2001 season.

OSU, coming off a 42-10 win Saturday at Washington State, is now 8-3 overall and 6-2 in the Pac-10 (second).  The Beavers play at Oregon Dec. 3 with the winner guaranteed the conference's berth to the 96th annual Rose  Bowl.

The 113th Civil War will be broadcast live by ESPN beginning at 6 p.m. from Autzen Stadium.
