WALNUT CREEK, Calif. – Four Arizona volleyball student-athletes earned All-Academic honors from the Pac-10 Conference, announced today by Commissioner Larry Scott.
To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 grade-point average and be either a starter or a significant contributor on the floor.
Weber was named to the first team with a 3.84 grade-point average in pre-business. The Wildcat setter recently was accepted into UA’s nationally-recognized Eller College. On the season, Weber has started all 99 sets played and has an assist-to-set ratio of 10.67.
Hutchinson, still undecided in her major, has a 3.79 over general course work. The Laguna Beach, Calif. native has recorded 135 total kills on the season and has a dig per set ratio of 2.0.
Sophomores Bannister and Hendrickson were lauded as honorable mention selectees. Bannister has posted 25 total blocks on the season while Hendrickson, a libero, has a 156 total digs.
The Wildcats conclude their regular season schedule this week as they travel to Los Angeles to face UCLA Friday afternoon and USC on Saturday.
