Beavers Move Up in the Rankings

CORVALLIS - Oregon State continues to move up through the national rankings this week despite being on a bye. The Beavers have moved up to No. 13 in this week's Associated Press Poll and No. 16 in the USA Today/Coaches Poll.

It is the highest AP ranking for the Beavers since appearing at No. 10 at the start of the 2001 season.

OSU, which beat Washington State 42-10 two Saturdays ago, is now 8-3 overall and 6-2 in the Pac-10, good for second in the conference. Oregon State plays at No. 10/10 Oregon this Thursday, Dec. 3 with the winner guaranteed the conference's berth to the 96th annual Rose Bowl.

The 113th Civil War will be broadcast live by ESPN beginning at 6 p.m. from Autzen Stadium.
