The Washington State women's basketball team (2-2) will square off against Boise State (6-0) in the championship game of the Lady Rebel Round-up hosted by UNLV, Sunday. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. at Cox Pavilion.

The match-up with the Broncos concludes WSU's first road trip of the 2009-10 season, a four-gamer that also took the Cougars on a swing through the Midwest. The meeting is also the first of two this season against teams from the Western Athletic Conference for the Cougars. WSU will also face Nevada Dec. 22, in Reno.

Fans can listen to the game against the Broncos live on KQQQ 1150 AM in Pullman/Moscow, or at Steve Grubbs has the call live from Las Vegas.

WSU Head Coach June Daugherty began her head coaching career at Boise State, compiling a record of 123-74 in seven seasons (1989-96). Daugherty has faced her former squad a combined eight times as both the head coach at Washington (1996-2007) and Washington State (2007-Present), winning seven of the meetings.

The Cougars are 53-49 all-time against schools currently in the Western Athletic Conference, including a 6-5 record when playing at a neutral site. The last neutral-site game played against a WAC opponent was in 1997, a 67-52 victory over Nevada (Dec. 19) at the Kona Classic in Hilo, Hawaii. The Cougars have won four of the last five games against the WAC, and seven of the last nine.

The 34-game series with Boise State is dead-even at 17-17, though the Cougars have won seven of the last eight meetings between the two schools. WSU won last year's meeting 85-76 in Boise (Nov. 20), giving the team four-straight victories on the road.

Sunday's game marks the first neutral-site meeting between the two schools in 33 years, with WSU trailing 2-3 when neither school boasts a home-court advantage. The last neutral-site meeting between the Broncos and Cougars was played in 1976, and Boise State has won each of the last three such games after WSU won the first two.

Fellow freshmen Jazmine Perkins (15) and Rosie Tarnowski (13) also scored in double figures, and seniors Katie Appleton (16) and Heather Molzen (11) each tallied 10-plus for the Cougars. The 85 points scored by WSU was the most since scoring 93 against Arizona Feb. 10, 2001. The scoring output was also the most on the road since Nov. 21, 1998 - one day shy of a decade - when WSU scored 88 points against Vermont in the Howard Bank Classic in Burlington, Vt.
