The Washington State women's basketball team (2-3) returns home from its longest road trip of the 2009-10 season, and will square off against Saint Mary's (3-3) Thursday, Dec. 5. Tip-off against the Gaels is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Friel Court.

Including the game against Saint Mary's, the Cougars will play four of their next five games at home after playing each of the last four on the road. WSU defeated UC Davis (64-54) in its only previous home game this season.

Fans can listen to the game against the Gaels live on Border 104.3 FM in Pullman/Moscow, or at Mike Tatko has the call live from Pullman. The game can also be followed live on GameTracker.

The Cougars will play three games against teams from the West Coast Conference this month: Saint Mary's, Portland and San Francisco. WSU boasts a 29-16 record against the WCC, including a 13-6 mark at home.

The Cougars won the last meeting against a WCC team, defeating San Francisco 82-71 on the road, Nov. 30, 2008. WSU is 4-2 in its last six homes games against the league.

The Cougars and Gaels have each won two games in the four-game series, though WSU has won each of the last two. With only 10 years of returning NCAA basketball experience, the Cougar women's basketball team is the sixth-youngest in the country according to a poll of the nation's Sports Information Directors.

Freshman guard KiKi Moore recorded seven steals in just her second game as a Cougar, tying WSU's NCAA freshman record. Only two Cougar freshmen have recorded as many steals in a single game: Jade Hyett (Oral Roberts; 1995) and current sophomore Jazmine Perkins (Hawaii; 2008). Moore leads the Pac-10 in steals, averaging 4.2 per game.
