Crandall, Iverson Win Twice as Oregon State Splits Double Dual Meet

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Seniors Anna Crandall and Brittney Iverson both took home victories in their final meet of the year as the Oregon State women's swim team split a double dual meet by defeating UNLV 160-133 and falling to San Diego State 167-118.

Crandall recorded her first two dual meet victories of the season in the 200y (1:50.13) and 50y (24.08) freestyle. She also finished second in the 100y freestyle with a time of 51.79.

Iverson picked up her second and third dual victories in the 200y butterfly (2:04.22) and the 200y (2:05.45) individual medley.

The day started off with the team of Jenni Dole, Signe Larson, Rachel O'Brien and Ashley Kerekanich finishing second in the 200y medley relay with a time of 1:45.86.

The Beavers also finished second in the 400y freestyle relay when Crandall, Lisa Chewning, Arianna Gorenc, and Iverson put up a time of 3:35.26.

Dole finished second in three different events, the 100y backstroke (57.08), 200y backstroke (2:03.41), and the 100y butterfly (57.76).

Larson finished second in the 200y breaststroke (1:05.88) and Rachel Wahl finished second in the 200y butterfly (2:06.97).

All together Oregon State recorded 11 first and second place finishes.

Oregon State jumps back into the pool after the New Year when they head south to face off with Arizona Jan. 8.
