Better Know a Freshman Gymnast - Stina Olivere

Stina Olivere calls The Windy City (Chicago, Ill.) her hometown. She attended Neuqua Valley High in Naperville, however she moved with her family to Fort Lauderdale the summer before coming to Cal. She competed for the Arena Gymnastics Club Team where she was the State Champion and Regional Champion on the Bars in 2009 and qualified for Junior Olympic Nationals that same season. She was a 2009 Region 5 National Team member. Academically, she was on the honor roll all throughout high school and was named to the High Honor roll.

Here are some quick facts you may not know about Stina:

What sport, other than gymnastics, would you like to compete in? Frolfing (ultimate frisbee)

Where would you like to travel? All around Europe, especially Italy

Who is the one person you would like to meet? Clint Eastwood

What would you do if you had but one day left to live? Eat sushi with my mom. Maybe that seems boring, but I'm always happiest when I get to spend time with her. And sushi dates are not only fun with her, but also delicious

What is your life's theme song? Cheeseburger in Paradise

What is your favorite sport other than gymnastics? Olympic swimming

What are the five most played songs on your iPod? Anything from Coldplay - probably from Vida La Vida right now. I loved them. I went to a concert up at Alpine and now I am addicted! I'm also a sap for Disney Channel-tasteless songs (I admit it)
