Stanford Announces 2010 Football Schedule

STANFORD - The Stanford Cardinal will open the 2010 football season on Saturday, Sept. 4 against the Cal State-Sacramento Hornets, marking the first of six home games at Stanford Stadium.

Following the home opener against the Hornets, Stanford will open Pacific-10 Conference play on Sept. 11 against UCLA at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. The game will be televised nationally on either ESPN or ESPN 2.

The Cardinal play back-to-back non-conference games on Sept. 18, hosting Wake Forest before traveling to South Bend, Ind. for a date with the Notre Dame Fightling Irish and first-year head coach Brian Kelly on Sept. 25.

Stanford will also play at Oregon (Oct. 2) and host USC (Oct. 9) before its first of two open dates on the schedule on Oct. 16.

The annual Reunion Homecoming Game is slated for Oct. 23 against the Washington State Cougars.

Other home dates include games against Arizona (Nov. 6) and Oregon State (Nov. 27) with three other road stops at Washington (Oct. 30), Arizona State (Nov. 13) and Cal (Dec. 4).

Game times and television assignments will be announced at later dates.
