Taylor Leads Canada To Third At Copas De Las Americas

BUENOS AIRES - Nick Taylor representing Canada in the Copas De Las Americas helped his team to a third overall finish, fourth in the men's teammate competition and eighth in the individual standings.
The Copa de las Americas is a biennial amateur team competition for countries in North America, Central America, South America and the Caribbean. There are three 72-hole competitions - men's, women's and overall - with 18 holes played on each of the four days.
Taylor teammed with Matt Hill, Stephanie Sherlock and Jennifer Kirby and shot a group score of +36, 1184 to tie with the Colombia foursome for third. The American team was +10, 1158 to finish first, followed by host Argentina who shot a +22, 1170.
Taylor shot 4-over, 290 (72-73-72-73) for the tournament to finish eighth. Aregentina's Emiliano Grillo was the top individual finisher at 7-under, 279.
Taylor and Hill shot a combined 7-over, 579 to finish fourth in the men's team competition. Host Argentina walked away in first, followed by the American duo and team from Paraguay.
