Duran and Watley Earn Spots on USA Softball National Team, Langenfeld Named Alternate

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - Former Bruins Andrea Duran and Natasha Watley have been named to the 2010 USA Softball Women's National Team, as announced by The Amateur Softball Association (ASA) on Monday. Current UCLA senior Megan Langenfeld was named a Team USA alternate.
Duran has been a member of the U.S. Women's National Team since 2006, having played in numerous tournaments, including three Women's World Cups and the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Watley has been part of Team USA since 2002 and has appeared in over a dozen tournaments, including two Olympic Games (2004 and 2008) and four Women's World Cups. Langenfeld has worn Red, White and Blue for the 2007 Junior Women's World Championship and the 2009 Pan American Games Qualifier, where she was named the tournament's Best Hitter.
Tryouts for the National Team were held last week in Chula Vista, Calif. The final roster will be announced in March, with the team competing in the ISF Women's World Championships (June 23-July 2) in Caracas, Venezuela, as well as other events to be scheduled at a later date.
