The Washington State women's basketball team concludes its trip to the Bay Area, squaring off against California Saturday (Jan. 16) at Haas Pavilion in Berkeley, Calif. Tip-off between the Cougars and Golden Bears is scheduled for 2 p.m.

The Cougars (5-11, 0-5 Pac-10) are looking for their first conference victory, while the Golden Bears (7-8, 1-3 Pac-10) notched their first Pac-10 win Thursday against Washington (60-43).

Fans can listen to the game live on KQQQ 1150 AM and on translator 105.3 FM in Pullman/Moscow, or at Steve Grubbs has the call live from Berkeley.

WSU's meeting against Oregon (Jan. 3) was the 600th game of June Daugherty's head coaching career. Daugherty, in her third year at WSU, also spent 11 years at Washington (1996-2007) and seven years at Boise State (1989-96). Her record through 600 career games is 335-265 (.558).

Freshman guard KiKi Moore leads the Pacific-10 Conference and entered this week ranked ninth nationally in steals (3.2). She also currently ranks fourth in the league in assists (3.6), and 12th in scoring (13.5).

Freshman center Carly Noyes already has nine multiple-block games in her debut season. She recorded four blocks against Oregon, tying WSU's freshman NCAA single-game record. Her block average (1.8) ranks second in the Pac-10, and her season total (28) is already the second-most by a Cougar freshman in NCAA history.

The Cougars have lost each of the last nine meetings with the Golden Bears, and trail 19-33 in the all-time series. The Cougars are 5-21 when playing California in Berkeley, with the last road win coming Jan. 29, 2004 (64-59). WSU's last victory at the series came Jan. 27, 2005 (79-69) at Friel Court.

The Cougars entered this week leading the conference and ranking 18th-nationally in turnover margin, forcing 5.73 more turnovers per game than committing. WSU continued its trend against the second-ranked Cardinal Thursday, forcing 16 turnovers and recording just 12.
