Huskies Announce 2010 Spring Schedule

SEATTLE - The Washington women's soccer team announced its 2010 spring schedule today, which includes five games, three of which will take place at Husky Soccer Field.

The season will kick off Wednesday, April 21 when the Huskies host Seattle Pacific at 7 p.m. at Husky Soccer Field. The Dawgs will then host Gonzaga on Saturday, April 24 at 1 p.m., also at their home field.

The following week, the Huskies will travel across town to Championship Field where they will face Seattle U on Friday, April 30 at 5 p.m. UW will then turn around the next day for a tough challenge when they face Pac-10 rival Oregon on Saturday, May 1 at 7 p.m. at Husky Soccer Field.

The spring season will wrap up for the Dawgs on Friday, May 7 when UW will play a friendly with the Seattle Sounders women's club team at 7 p.m. at Starfire.

The Huskies, who are coming off their second-consecutive NCAA Second Round berth, will return seven starters in 2010, including All-West Region midfielder Kate Deines, leading scorer McKenna Waitley, goalkeeper Kari Davidson and top defender Kendyl Pele.
