Prugh Second After Two Rounds Of Bob Hope Classic

Jan. 22, 2010

LA QUINTA, Calif. - Alex Prugh shot a second round 6-under 66 and is 14-under 130 overall, two strokes behind leader Bubba Watson at the Bob Hope Classic in La Quinta, Calif.

Prugh and the rest of the field endured intermittent rain and a soggy course at the SilverRock Resort to complete Friday's second round, pushed back a day by a Thursday deluge in Southern California.

Prugh, a Husky letterwinner from 2004-07, teed off from the 10th hole at the PGA West Palmer course and played a bogey free round. The Spokane, Wash., native shot a 4-under in his first nine, including an eagle on the Par-5 18th hole, and 2-under on the back.

The Spokane, Wash., native is one stroke ahead of four other golfers, including first round leader Shane Bertsch.

Prugh tees off for Saturday's third round at 10:09 am at La Quinta Country Club.
